I have a Guild Songbird SN AE040757 bought new Sep 1998 so I know it was not made later than 1998 yet serial numbers for Songbirds in your charts seem to fall way short by almost 100 of that number. Also my SN would suggest a ’99 production even if your list is short by a few yet, again it had to have been made no later than 1998?

Hello! I realize this is kind off off-topic however I had to ask.

Does building a well-established website like yours take a laarge
amount of work? I’m brand new tto writing a blog but I do write in my
journal on a daily basis. I’d like tto start a
blog so I will be able to shae my own experience and thoughts online.
Please let me know iif you have any suggestions or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers.
    Thankyou!

Hi I really like the content on Academia.edu I have read incredible writing on the guitars.

My site is very difficult. I have lots of content and very detailed database that has required lots of tweaking by many developers. On top of that is is community and musical instrument & accessories. I would not wish this on anyone. A standard word press, not custom, site is easy to set up and maintain. Axvault has some 50,000 pages and records. Thanks to Alex, the developer, he has fixed most of the bugs and we are getting ready to launch a more stream lined and efficient website.

I have a 1969 Guild F-50 Serial # AD439. Yet all the data bases suggest the serial #s for the Hoboken plant ended on AD419.

I have a Guild Guitar that has a model number D4 NT HR with a serial number AD405413 and I don’t see that on any of the sites that tells me the year it was made etc. Can anyone help

    1. Ryan

      Steve,

I too have a D4 NT HR with a very close serial to yours:
      AD404594

I can’t seem to find a date either, but my guess is a 1998 since it’s close in count to the last serial of 1997 for the D4’s.

Also, I found out that Fender purchased Guild in 1995, but kept the production in the original Rhode Island factory (and likely many of the original employees) for a few years before they decided to close that shop and move Guild production to Corona, CA. I’m just not sure when this move was made, and I’d like to know so I could place the production location of this guitar as well.

If anyone has any further knowlege, I’d appreciate it
