even design is the unexpected creative love child of Eric Cooke and Erin Fahey. While both had life long artistic inclinations neither had ever considered themselves “artists” until one fateful night in the winter of 2009, when a perfect combination of snow, boredom, a stack of old magazines, a guitar and copious amounts of glue led to the creation of the first even design instrument. From that moment on the idea of using collage and other unconventional materials to customize guitars became an obsession. While the canvas remains the same, (so far), the design process is highly dynamic. Whether it’s incorporating new materials or trying to perfect the finishing process there is an experimental aspect to every creation. Even Design guitars are pop art in the absolute best way possible. They’re fun, whimsical, kitschy, eye catching, macabre, gaudy, titillating, sexy, spooky, quirky racy, romantic, fanciful and PLAYABLE! Every instrument is fully functioning, and is as much a musical instrument as it is a piece of art. In short even design is a couple of artists hoping that people have as much fun seeing and playing their guitars as they had making them.

    Thanks! Yes we do all the work. The guitars a disassembled, stripped down to the wood and then customized. It is a very long process.

    Yes we do. The Kramer is not for sale because it is a personal instrument and couple of the others were commisioned pieces. We are having trouble with being able to edit the collection right now. As soon as we can we will add information about each guitar.
