Van Halen guitar lands in Smithsonian
strong>(CNN) — A monster of sorts is lurking in the halls of the Smithsonian — a beast that once belonged to rocker Eddie Van Halen.
The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History announced Monday that it has acquired the Van Halen “Frank 2″ — a red, black and white Fender that the guitar hero used to ply his trademark licks on.
