Jeff says he came up with the idea originally from his hand-made wooden turkey calls. That right, Jeff not only is a guitar builder and hunter but a transcendent wood craftsman. That is how he has made a living for past thirty years. His turkey calls he made with a diaphragm to get the sound he wanted. When asked if those turkey calls were any good he replied, “I never used it”. But people who did use them have said they worked well.
